The property management company has long been synonymous with luxury and comfort in Park City’s hospitality scene. And now, the family-owned business is making waves for more than just its opulent accommodations. 

Abode Luxury Rentals is teaming up with fulFILLed Lifestyle Co. to introduce refillable amenities at their Black Bear Lodge at Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. As of June 2024, 75 bathrooms at Black Bear Lodge have been switched over from single-use toiletries to refillable amenities. This transition is estimated to save a whopping 15,000 small plastic bottles from hitting the waste stream annually!

Julie Finnegan, impact manager at Abode Luxury Rentals, is thrilled about this move. She says,

“Transitioning to refillable amenities aligns with our mission to reduce our environmental footprint. By eliminating single-use plastic waste, we’re not only preserving natural resources but also setting a new standard for sustainable hospitality in Park City.”

Those staying at Black Bear Lodge can now enjoy non-toxic, refillable amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion. These products undergo rigorous testing and fulFILLed Lifestyle Co. ensures they meet the highest non-toxic standards, free from harmful ingredients. Plus, they’re biodegradable and cruelty-free—talk about a win for both guests and the planet!

Abode Luxury Rentals is the first Park City-based property management company to take part in the reFILL pilot project. The project is in partnership with the Park City Chamber and Visitor Bureau and is partially funded by the Chamber’s Sustainable Tourism Grant. fulFILLed Lifestyle Co. was awarded the grant in 2023 to help Park City’s hotel and lodging industry move away from single-use toiletries and switch to refillable amenities.
